I have rekindled a dieing fire for my xbox thanks to Diana.

So other than my awesome kinect I planning to make a lot of changes in 2011 since I think it will be another big year. I swear every year is a big year:

2008: graduate JMU, move to SD

2009: citizenship, was in SD, new job, new church, Diana

2010: Diana meets VA, mom remarried, friends married, Diana's bro's baby, Christmas in LA

I guess life never stops to surprise you as long as you let it. You gota keep moving forward and just keep pushing. Once you stop and set your life into a routine and tell yourself that your life is so boring and you have nowhere to go thats when your life sux. I'm pretty sure its an active decision to make your life suck.

I always feel like i won't come back to this thing but i always do. Whats really crazy is i just checked it today and people actually read this thing from time to time.

Guess what.... I ALSO realized i reached double digit followers!!!! I never even could have imagined that this day would come. I just want to thank all my loyal fans for sticking with me even through the toughest of times. Now i know i can never shut down this blog. How can I with such loyal followers.

I think im going to try this "art" project where i just try and see my routine life in a new fresh way. Life is so scheduled these days for me and its started to get to me so i want to try to see it in a new light. I'm going to try and force myself to take a few shot from my phone and just upload them here to give a perspective of what i observe throughout the day and just try to capture how unique my life is daily even though i feel like I'm doing the same thing daily. Maybe it'll inspire me to do other things.

I like this blog. Its like the mole on my right ring finger. I used to think about trying to get rid of it by getting hurt there on purpose to rip the skin but i was always too chicken to do it and hoped it would happen on accident. (never happened) but now I'm a bit older and I don't mind it and notice from time to time and i'm glad its there to remind me of me. WTF did i just write.... I'm not going to delete this cus its just so awkwardly awkward.... I think i tried to express myself and it just came out retarded cus I don't know how to write well. (i need to read more.....)

Tried to having reading time with Diana yesterday and she read this korean book for about 45 mins and i spent 15 mins trying to download the nook on my mac, 5 mins downloading the eBook , 3 minutes roughly to find where i left off, read for about 5 mins at the table with her got extremely agitated and moved to the couch, layed down to read for another 5 mins and then started getting sleepy and diana said ok lets go. SAVED....

So much to write and to share but this post is getting too long and thats not my style.

The interesting thing is they were sent from two people who I didn't really expect emails from. Thomas Lee and Jessica Nam both sent me these random emails. I got they both got hacked but apparently when these people saw these deals they thought of me....

So our team is finally getting some benifits from the massive hires that is happening in our company.

Good news: less work for all of us
Bad news: hes going to buddy up with my in my cube initially.... which prob means i have to train him....

I can't believe i have to train sombody... that sounds and feel weird. Am i even qualified to train sombody? Im still being trained myself. Am i old??

So i realized that im like a spark in the company. I attract people especially since my cube is in the central area of the office where people walk by all the time. I'm always asking people to go eat or talk about games or football, cellphones, vacation blah blah blah. I've become the guy that always wants to eat out and has to plan everything and everybody expects me to organize everything. So annoying iono what happened....

Yesterday i was reading the Bible and it was kind of funny cus i was sitting on my couch reading and before i could even realize what happened i traveled to the future 10 mins. Weird.

So i have google analytics on my blog to keep track of how many hits i get and just a bunch of extra crap that i don't need. My usual hit count is 1-10 and averages around 4 and its been that way for the hisotry of this blog. I recently went to check it today and my graphs are flipping out. My past line got really really tiny and the recent lines shot up.

The only thing i can think of is changing my blog titles to random crap. Thats the onyl thing i did different and now im getting 40+ hits per day... Thats why i've been getting random people leaving comments on my blog telling me to go and look at their blog's... I was wondering what as going on.

So strange how do they even find it.... People go on google and type "blogs about duracel battery"? Seriously... So weird.

So i got a mail in the letterbox yesterday from Bank of America telling me that my NFL credit card program is coming to an end...... My heart sank when i read that. I went on the points redeem website and there is a cont down....

I looked at the regular season tickets section all sold out.....

I looked at the Authentic jersey section all sold out......

So panicing i went to the premier jersey section and found that they were not sold out. I picked kind of random players and just bought whatever i could before everything was gone.

I ended up with a red Coley jersey for myself and a white Landry jersey for diana. Not bad players. I think a solid buy but....

MAN I DIDN'T WANT THOSE!!!! WTH!!!!!

gosh im so upset.... I got like 3000 points left but everythign sucks so i need to work up a few more points and get rid of them and then stop using my credit card until the next program.....

So for Sam's bday we were planning ALL week to get pumped up to go to THE SHOOTING RANGE. Wanted to bust some caps and shoot off some rounds into paper men and let out our frustrations... ok im being a little over drammatic. We were just super psyched to go.

We get there and they told us NO! we are not going to give guns to some asian noobs whos cloest encounter with a gun is through a pc game called sounter strike a person can take a bullet to the chest and still manage to bunny hop and take out 5 terrorists and disarm a bomb.

So we got all bumed out and decided to do the craziest thing we could think of which was TO GO TO KINGS DOMINON! 25 mins later we are on 95 going 5 miles per hour stuck in traffic. We take the first exit off and head back home LOCAL cus 95 is packed both ways....

We went to sams house to play his new game madden 11 which i thought was the most boring football game ever made. Then went to dinner at this tex mex place which was pretty good actually. Their limemade is supurb.

So to finish of our grand adventure we went to the once place where all things are possible. PC BBang... Funny thing we get all settled to start our first game of HON (new dota) 5 minsutes into it and PHUUUUUUUUU(powering down noise. Kind of hard to put into words after trying it) the entire block loses power. Eventually came back on but wasted a lot of time.

All in all we had the most failed bday but we failed together. It wasn't too bad for doing nothing all day. At least we were with friends.

So we lost yet another game of softball last night and i got really upset this week. I think its cus i expected better of myself but i mean what do i expect if i don't practice. I even missed a game last week cus i went to mexico plus i never played in a league before so of course im going to blow really hard but i still got upset knowing all this.

I was really mad at myself for making dumb decisions and just being so crappy so now I'm determined to get better. I need to improve. I need to hit the cages. We have practice this thursday and im going to practice my heart out. I hate being so crappy at something even though i have the potential to be good at it.

This experience woke me up not only in the game but also spiritually. HA! funny God.

Yea!!! So i just got back from Mexico and it was awesome!!!! I took quite a bit of photo's and i uploaded them all on picasa so i'll have a link on the bottom. First of all google is awesome. If you download picasa the software you can just upload the entire album on the web with one click and its so simple to share. Gosh google is so smart.... I love them.

Ok anyways mexico was awesome. I ate tons and tons of food. Mind my spelling but i had entinadas, quesadilla, tacos, ice-cream (machicana), posole, this milk drink starts like (och..something), argentinian steak, argentinian buffet, mexican style jja pa gheti ummmm thats all i think of... lobsters.... ok thats all i can think of for now. I'm sure Diana will leave a comment if i left something out that she remembers. Food was GREAT!

I also went to the aztec or mayan?? Who cares but i went to the pyramids and climbed to the top and took some great shots and just had a blast with Diana and her parents. We also rode this thing called the TuriBus and u pay like 17 bux and u can ride the bus all day and get on and off at the various stops all over mexico city. There are a lot of those buses that just drive around and you get off where you want to site see and walk around then go to one of the TuriBus stops and wait for a bus and you can get back on again and just go somewhere else and get off and get back on. So cool and its all only for 17 bux.

Did you know parts of Meico City is built on weak foundation and there was an earthquake and it shifted all the buildings in this one area and they are all slightly angled. So funny and weird. It feels like your leaning in one direction and so weird but its fun.

We went to the WTC (World Trade Center) and chilled near the top in this restaurant that spins in circles and you can see almost the entire city. We went at night and the view is so cool cus all the lights are on at night. The really nice malls in Mexico are crazy. Its all outdoors and you can feel a nice dry breeze and its so refreshing.... until you step outside the mall and see the city. Its really really really dirty and ghetto like i imagined it. We did go to some nice places but u just go down 3 blocks in any direction and you will see a difference again. It rained a lot when i went and every time if i wore sandals by feet would be black because the dirt from the floor would all get on my feet and sandals from the rain and its so gross.

Never been to Mexico City but there sure is a lot to see and a lot to eat. I want to go back again. It was so much fun. O!! and Diana's parents apt there is BALLLLLLLIN!!! so nice. 2 floor apt pent house with windows for walls all around. The only bad thing is that its right smack in the middle of the city and at night time the mexicans love to drive around and honk a lot at 2am for some reason and being a light sleeper it kept waking me up. Plus as a going away present i got 5 mosquito bites the night before i left.... I miss it already and want to go back again. It will be so much fun.

I had a lot of fun today.we tok a tour of downtown mexico city and had some fantastic food.I had this fruit ice cream and it was so awesome I'm craving it now.def getting one at least a day.she liveso in this apt downtown and all the walls are made of windows so it's really beautiful but you can hear everything and it's hard to sleep. Tomorrow we are going to go on a tour bus so I'm going to take tons of dumb scenic shots.it'll be great. Goodnight world.

So i left some coffee at my desk and went out for lunch today. When i came back my cube smelled so delicous!! i took a sip of my coffee and it tasted like creamy smooth sip of..... mmmmm dirt.

I'm not allowed to have sugar so i put in a little bit of cream and coffee tastes so bad now. I guess i have to grow up sometime. I remember vaeguly seeing sombody's facebook post of a HUGE starbucks iced black coffee and wondering how in the world do u drink ice black coffee in such large quantities. I would need an advil to finish that.

we got some new young blood in the company. Hiring up a bunch of new young people which is a good sign for the company being able to afford new employees esp young people to grow and learn. One of them is korean im like 90% sure so me and my other korean friend gota pick him up and guide him under our wings. We used to have a trio of koreans but one left so now we got the other guy to fill in the spot although.... we never did anything together....

So we went to Lake Anna in Fredricksburg and i gota say its pretty cool. Its this HUGE man made lake. We rented this boat that you can drive in the lake and go anywhere and there are like marina's and little places to eat and rent other stuff like jet ski's and u just travel on the lake.

Ok so i was so bored yesterday at a certain period of the work this this is the after math of my partial blog update:

I have never been more bored at work than a few seconds ago before i decided to blog about how bored i was. I'm so bored i don't even have the desire to surf the internet. I dont' want to buy anything, eye shop,

So i came on today and i see a draft blog entry and I don't remember saving anything and i apparently got so bored that i got a slight case of amnesia and forgot i was writing a blog entry closed the window and just went on with my broedom..... I don't get it. How did i just forget i was writing a blog in the middle of it and then have no recollection of even starting it at all. I must have been really really bored.

So my manager bought the iPhone 4g yesterday waiting in line for 3 hours for the preorder and he brought it today and so funny. Hes like a full grown man that never grew up fully. He's single, getting old, no kids, loves gadgets and works too much. He's like the typcial new age american. So i say that he never grew up cus we were all just looking at it breifly seeing how it looks and one guy says can i see it????

lol his immediate reaction was NO nononononononono "your going to drop it......" i mean are u kidding.... we're talking about adults here at the age of at least 35 and older and hes so caught up with his iphone that he can't even let anybody else touch it and its all mine mine mine mine. This guy seriously never grew up deep inside and needs to learn some humbleness and selflessness. Shesh i felt like i was watching 3rd graders argue over a limited edition pokemon card for a minute.

Anyways im so tired and last night i left the teachers book for vbs at church so today im screwed and don't have anything prepared. We'll see how it goes. Man life is so tiring these days. I remember VBS was so easy but now i remembered i wasn't working a full time job back then... shesh!

Anyways i think at least tonight i'l get my blu-ray player i bought for 27 bux and test it out.

Man this week is already making me tired just thinking about it. I need to prepare like crazy this week for VBS and then on wed-sat i have to go right after work and teach vbs all day this week. Just thinking about it right now makes me tired and not want to do it but.... i signed up to help and its for the children soooo i gota do it man.

It usually happens like this where i don't want to do it but once i get there then i do it and its not so bad but after im all tired and i don't want to go back but i gota so i go there and its not so bad and the story goes on. I think somtimes its satan trying to get me to back out of my responsibilties but by the grace of God he drags my lazy butt over and makes the better half of me win over my laziness.

My brother is coming back today and my mom wanted to eat out and i said he prob wants korean food or something and shes like o yea... prob somthing spicy. Ok lets jsut eat at home. So we'll prob have dinner at home and i'll just hang out or something and be able to catch up. Doesn't seem like hes been gone that long probably because i am working and nothing really happened so the days just go by w/o any sense of time.

So diana is in mexico and i want to visit her pimp daddy house there really bad. It looks so freak'n cool. Its like 2 story apt with giant rooms and display cases with windows all over right off the main street in mexico city with people walking around and tress all over. She basically lives in D.C. where the senators live or something. Its crazy but kind of old but still so cool.

Man im just thinking about this year and whats in store and whats happened so far and its crazy. A LOT of big changes happening and things are just moving so quickly. Marriages left and right, Diana coming here, full time at my comp, brother back from england, church is growing and just a lot of other crazy stuff that i'm going to leave out and just let it be a surprise.

Man im tired just thinking about it. I think im tired a lot because i don't work out. I'm really determined to start p90X and i know im going to be so dead the first week or two but if i keep it up and i know my body will get used to it and i'll be ok cus i've worked out before and its always reallly hard on your body initially. I WANT RESULSTS BABY!!!!

man im so tired today. I want to take a nap so bad! I had some potato chips and they are stuck in my teeth and im trying to wiggle them out with my tongue while im writing this. Tastes all starchy.

what else tastes starchy? I know potatoes do but if they were the only thing that tasted starchy then it would just be called potatoy or something.

Man today at work one person took a day off and another person has 3 weeks off to go to India to get his visa stamped and renewed. That leaves me and one other person plus my manager who does work just is super busy during the day with meetings so our man power to finish tickets has gone down drastically today. I want a break... I'm thinking of working from home on friday. Hopefully things won't be too bad.

My brother is coming back to VA soon i believe. Should be interesting. I forget what it was like when he was at home. Not sure if i saw him a lot or not.

so i don't really have anything to talk about but a ceratin sombody wants to have some readnig material so i'll jsut post about nothing.

VBS is coming soon so im starting to prepare for it slowly. Its not TOO much work but just another thing i have to do.

Softball season is coming up the schedul was just released but i have yet to take a look at it. Kind of excited for that. Hopefully our team will not be so bad and we'll win some games.

Finished my computer and its running pretty smooth but my monitor is so big that when i set my resolution to 1900x1280 it slows down when trying to rendery heavy 3d effects and the FPS goes down drammatically. I need to invest in a crossfire system if im going to run things on above average.

Work has been busy. I don't have a lot of time throughout the day to just do nothing because then i have to stay late and its going to suck if that happens. I hate when it rains cus then traffic gets so bad even if its a light drizzle. People are so dumb.

I had to fix Chelsey's computer this week and i went to microcenter to buy a new harddrive cus that was the apparant problem but guess what... it wasn't that. The HDD was working fine just it got corrupted somehow so i just had to reinstall windows again and it fixed the issue. Now i have to go back and return the HDD. Gosh so much extra work for no reason. I considered keeping it cus i got such a great deal on it but why do i need 250GB on top of 1TB?

Now that im writing this blog i don't really feel like going back to work. This week went by pretty fast.Last week was a 4 day week and it felt longer than this one.

TGIF has a great deal on food 13 bux for a 3 course meal and there are some faily good choices. The peanut butter pie is really good but its hard to finish alone unless you have a real sweet tooth. I went there with James Sova cus hes moving to NY soon and he wanted to chill before he goes up this weekend.

2 more months until Diana moves to VA need to start looking at houses after vbs ends. I think a lot of places will be open but also a lot of competition cus studnets come back around that time and people will probably be looking for places to live.

I really hope my manger leaves early today so that i can dip out as well. If he leaves at 5 sharp that would be great!

I've done one other post liket his one where i just start writing down random thoughts that fly across my mind.

Its easier to read and its just short little blurbs so its easy to scan.

I get overwhelemed when people don't break down their thoughts using spaces. It just looks like this really long mess and when i see 4 to 5+ sentances together i immediately just don't read it unless i really have to. I'm such a noob reader.

So this was one of my crappier weekends but at the same time not so bad. I was sick almost all of last week and still am trying to expunge the last remaining bits of it through lots of coughing and spitting of large mounds of sticky yellow pudding mixed with some water. There a nice visual for you. (its my blog i can write whatever i want)

If i start to write weird things like the president of the united states is... do you think some government server picks up the key words president, united states and then my blog gets flagged and i start to have a lot of viewers courtesy of the US CIA? I think yes if i took it to a certain point.

So first gathering of overflow was this past week and in my personal opinion it was good. It went over expectations and all the leaders and "authoritative" figures were pleased with the results and i think we got a good first impression of the event. Now we just need to work even harder to sustain it cus i know first impression are important but persevering is even harder. I'm excited slash worried. Selfishness and the flesh get the best of us many times and right now i think i might be slowly filling up my plate with too much food and i won't be able to finish all my food if i keep up this rate.

I memorized that last night because its the motherboard that i want. i think 99% of my readers have never touched a motherboard or know what a good one vs a bad one looks like so i won't go into too much detail but this thing is awesome... Sick jump but for real im just sick.

I've been sick for the past 3 days now and my whole body feels so tingly~~~ I feel like Luffy when he touches sea water at times. (im sure most of you will be like wth is he talking about)

So yesterday my mom came home and whipped out a papertowel and said take these. I WISH i had taken a picture but it was 6 pills in various shapes and colors ranging from very small to very large size pills.... Now in america im sure if you wanted to take this many pills at once and even obtain some of these suckers you prob need to be well insured and probably have some sort of cancer but in Korea its all good apparetnly. So i took a half red/yelllow pill labled RXN355... something, a huge white pill the shape and size of an almond, a teeny wheeny yellow pill that looked like those small sugar birthday cake confette stuff and two tylenol looking white pills labled SX42.... something.

I was on skype with Diana and she could hear me complaining wth are these blah blah but in the end i just threw them down the chute and prayed i wouldn't wake up in a coma.

I lied to diana and said not too long ago i took dayquil and 2 tylenols and she said "ummmmm..... maybe you should go throw up..." lol what a cutie.

Yes i said it in public. i said cutie. Its a mixed actoin of truth and publicity stunt. Brings up the ratings.

Randomly i wanted to buy a cool journal with burnt pages and faded leather so i could start a journal but then i realized i have this online journal and i can't even keep up with this one so i quickly woke up from that fantasy.

So i've been a part of this grass roots radical movement that will eventually shake the very foundtaion and rock the world as we know it for the 2nd generation and beyond and its been for the most part pretty good. God really works in strange ways and i have to admit i havn't been the cloest to him these days or weeks or even maybe months but i can always feel his spirit tugging and pulling and whispering to me like a siren. I swear if i wasn't Christian God would be so annoying cus hes always bothering you and getting all over your case. But you know how it is family is #1 so you still love him in the end.

There so much going on in my life right now and i don't want to be one of those christians that just end up being burned out because he fills his life with all this stuff to do but i think that won't happen cus my heart feels joy and even a small desire and longing to do better and be bigger and bolder. Its going to take some time to get rid of the old and bring in the new but it'll happen.

at work i have a bag of salted mixed nuts and it has all sort of nuts but not peanuts cus nobody likes peanuts i guess but there are tons of walnuts in it and i thought i liked walnuts but now.... i hate walnuts. I think the tightly worn skin on the walnut is its natural defense mechanism. Its like eating a banana with the skin still on it. Its so bitter and tasted like salted bark. just one isn't so bad like taking a small sip of black coffee or sips of a strong ale or wine but if you chug the bottle its gonna taste really bitter.

Good thing i ate most of them. Sometimes i mix the walnut with a cashew and make a trail mix sort of thing to try and balance it out.

So i think im going to try and cut back on my game playing and instead fill it with watching netflix movies about 3 times a week since thats how many i can get at the most and try to get some reading done. Maybe i'll play once in awhile but we'll see how this goes.

I've been really tired in the morning these days even though i got to bed at like 12 and wake up at like 830. Not sure why... maybe im not getting enough exercise or something.

So Diana is gone and the house has gotten really quiet now. Dori is a little bit more bored and I have less to look forward to. Although... after this trip if things roll the right way then it could go in my favor... we'll see.

I need to get another camera cus my brother took mine and now i don't have anything to take pictures with. I also need to find a good website or place to print out pictures for cheap. I wonder how much costco is and how long it takes. Then i could just get them done while we go shopping on saturdays.

im going to be busy these next couple of months with VBS coming up and church retreat and some membership meetings and planning to go to Mexico there is just something going on every weekend. Its crazy.

Yea!!! Diana is coming in 3 days to the VA. Can't wait. Gota try out my new smoking plank. Its this cool wood thing u use on the grill and it smokes the meat.

Gonna prob head out to DC on friday and go shopping on sat with mom and diana. Dang im prob going to be left out... now that i think about it... What if they like each other more than me and im just holding all the bags....?

Man I had the hardest time falling asleep yest and now i know why. My body was fighting a war inside me and it was a close battle but my body lost. I will have to give it some reinforcements and more supplies. Might have lost the battle but we won't lose the war.

Basically im feeling a little sick and now i have that thingly feeling on my skin where you can feel your clothes and my head is a light and i always have a slight gag feeling in my throat.

So its March 10th and I got to play a first few chapters of FFXIII and its so far better than what i expected. The picture quality and style of battle and leveling concepts are all fairly new and interesting. Don't have much time to play as i would i was in college but o well.

Man I didn't know work could get so borng so quickly. After being here a few months i already know that doing database is not my passion but just something i learned. Not quite sure where m my passion or gift is in the work force. I really want to try and get into some sort of management position but iono how you get trained for that cus you gota know all these business terms and stuff. I remember learning a little in college about like GAP analysis and what not but i forget. I hated that class.

The more and more im in the technical field the more i feel im not made for it. Iono how i even ended up here.

so I woke up around eight this mroning to go to the deli to run some errands so I would be able to make it in time to luck up my mom from the airport. I wadi freaking out cus of traffic and it took me a lot longer than expected.

I finally arrived at the airport and as I frantically scan down thenlist of international arrivals I look at the flight status: on time. phew. I look at the arrival time:1042..... 42?!!!! she told me 10!!! now I gota wait 42 mins plus customs check and Im gonna be super late for work... u gota be kidding me...

so this boy went to the doctors office with his father. the doctor was just doing a small check up on the boy. so he had the boy sit on tue table and just made small talk. he checked his pulse then he check his ears.

then he checked his eyes and then his tongue.

then he told the boy "I'm going to listen to your heart" and took out his stethascope.

the boy winced a little cus of the cold metal and then sat questly with intensity in his face.

as the doctor listened the boy suddenly grabbed the doctors face with his tiny hands and asked the doctor...

so today i learned that i won't have my laptop until next week most likely so don't keep my hopes up and just keep bring my own laptop. I dont' know why i want the company one so bad... maybe its cus i want to start working asap so that when the time comes to be alone i won't be thrown into the wolves and i'll be sufficiently trained.... getting worried

what i DID manage to obtain was an official building pass so i can open doors pass 5pm. Its so cool cus its the exact same thing as my temporary pass but it has a different serial number on it. Sooo cool.

The only interesting i learned today so far was that our HR person is married to this super fat and huge but cute looking spanish looking guy. I thought it was like her best friend but on another picture i saw their wedding photo... weird.

so first day of vacation from my new job and I ended up working... let me explain.

I went to bed late last night expecting to fully sleep in and I get rudely awaken by my mom. she is all disturbed and is like omg there is ice outside and the car is frozen and blah blah. I ordered bagels cus I was going to open but there is ice and the delivery is prob sitting outside the store... get up and drive me to work cus I can't drive on ice...

at this point it feels like a dream but I'm too tired for this to be a dream. I just put on a sweater and some pj pants and no socks with loafers and step outside. 0 ice on the roads but car is frozen. turned car on for 5 mins 0 ice on roads 0 ice on car. so I drive over on such a perfect day and she tells me she will get the bagels and we r out.

now I'm here updating this dumb blog from my moms store and she tricked me and is fully open. not even talking to me... just on the phone. still sleepy didn't wash my face or brush my teeth. not cool. she TRICKED ME!!!

another slow day

so day 2 of work and still not laptop so I'm just watching my lead try and fix some issues. yest we did two really fast and easy but today's is super hard... this companies database structure is vastly larger and more complex than my previous place so tere is a lot for me to pick up on. anyways

so I'm upset a little I don't have a laptop yet but the good thing about it is that I might be waiting because they r waiting for the new ones to come in so I will b using the brand new and more powerful laptop than everbody else. I was supposed to have one today but I think they r gonna give it to this other team that has five year old laptops and they don't need the brand new ones. so half excited half bummed.

today for lunch Peruvian chicken at some place. prob write about it later.

first day on the job I'm not gonna lie I was a little nervous in the morning so I drove out an hour early even though I knew better. ended up getting to work like 30 mins early so I just sat in the car... office is pretty emtpy so it's really quiet prob cus of holidays and since I'm the new guy I got a desk near the front which kind of sux I'm not even near a window.

I'm def gonna ask to move my desk when I move up or something. getting my badge laptop and stuff tomm so that should be cool. I'm just reading boring documentation and stuff like 200 pages worth of crap.

so my career path in this company is to be a DBA(database administrator) but since I'm a noob right now I'm in production engineering which is basically support. I will be taking in tickets and fixing things and what not. in the IT World we all know support sux but hey it's the best place to learn the business and system plus it pays well so o well. can't complain too much.

I should be reading my documents but I'm just updating my blog which is long overdue sorry Diana who is prob the only person that checks it from time to time although she might not anymore if I don't say anything. well see.

ok well I should be getting back to work. had Tera Thai for lunch and my mentor veejay paid for it and is gonna turn it in ad a business expense and get some back so he can get points for his amazon card... such a cheater lol. free food for me.

So my good friends sam and alex came to visit me for almost... 7 days and it was prob one of the most tiring and LONG weeks i have ever had in my life but.... it was GREAT. Let me try and run down what we did day by day in chronological order.

TUE:

they arrive at like 11 in SAN
we go straight to IN-N-OUT
sleep

WED:

i wake up at 8 and go to airport for interview in SF while sam and alex sleep
sam alex walk to local food court and have thai and indian
danny realized he took his car keys with his house keys to SF and left sam and alex stranded (thats why they walked)
sam and alex play games and bum around the house until danny gets back from SF around 6
pick up diana and go to korean market for jippo and goguma and fire wood
grab dinner at IN-N-OUT
BONFIRE at the beach all night cooking jippo and goguma and drinking milkis
sleep

THUR:

woke up and went to UCSD to tour campus
ate mexican food and had yogurt world after on campus
went to La Jolla cove to see the beach and walk on rocks near the shore. Ended up climbing this big rock and there was a sea lion on it and we were 3 feet away from it and could see it so closely. He was sleeping or sun bathing on the rock or something
Went to eat AWESOME fish tacos after
Had one of the worlds best waffle sandwich icecreams after. THey put the ice cream between the waffles and then but it back into the waffle maker. It gets so warm but so cold inside
I think we went to this really expensive dessert place after to get $1o slices of cake. Its really good we were just too full.

FRI:

wake up around 10 and go to eat original pancake house for breakfast/lunch
go to out door mall and just show them around how malls are in SD
try to find a gamestop to buy a video game while also stopping by an arcade at another mall
went to the SD SPCA to show sam how nice dogs have it here compared to HBURG. (might have gone on sat)
Went to get authentic Jap ramen at a japanese food market. They loved it as much as i did. The pork is so good in the ramen.

SAT:

woke up and went to eat at alex co-workers mexican place which ended up being pretty famous and not so bad.
went to La Jolla shores and just chilled on the beach while flying sams awesome Hanah Montana kite. We let the string all out and it could still have gone way higher.
Came home to wash up a little and then went to Phil's bbq their favorite meal out of the entire trip
played the video we bought sometime in between all of that

SUN:

woke up and got JACK IN THE BOX and went to church
church service for easter at the new building location which is pretty big
went to walmart after to buy boogie board and then went to La Jolla shores again to swim
failed attempt to boogie for hours while our balls were freezing
went home to get dressed for expensive last dinner at SD
Sushi Ota... apparently they get their fish every morning from Japan. Was actually really good. Alex and sam got Kobe beef which was 15 bux for 5 slices of rare beef about the thickness of 10 pages of a book.

MON:

went to The Cottage for breakfast and got some weird stuff. Not as good as Original Pancake house i'd say although the french toast was really good
Drove to LA
Stopped by Irvine to see jackie and get some pinkberry. Sam and alex fav dessert.
Stopped by this gokart place where you have to have your license to drive one and also went on the drifting one too. Spent the rest of our points on arcade games
Went to this crazy outdoor mall in LA where all the celebrates go to called The Grove. Its also attached to The Market Place which has great little food shops and shopping. Its really cool.
Went to a cafe after and got some Dukbogi which they made really bad this time. Supposed to be crispy duk... and sam got goguma latte which was pretty good.
Went to get some world famous Kogi tacos before the airpot.
Took them to IN-N-OUT one last time
Airpot to say our goodbyes....

Monsters Vs Aliens 3d IMAX

GREAT movie to watch if you are going for the whole 3d experience. I have never seen another movie come as close to as close as this movie in the aspect of 3d. the ENTIRE movie was in 3d and the whole IMAX experience made it even better. TOTALLY worth the 16.50 i spent on the ticket in my opinion.

Korea vs Japan

So today i went to the World Baseball Classics Kor vs Jap game and we crushed them!!! It was so fun. All these korean people gathered from LA and SD and we were all cheering and people had flags and stuff going crazy.

The semi-finals are in LA and Diana and I are going to go to the game on SAT to watch them at Dodgers stadium. Its gonna be awesome. GO KOREA!!!!

I checked my bank account and i was like WTF... what happened? eagle eye? am i going to get framed? Today is not the 10th.... im not supposed to get paid....

I should work for netflix or get paid by them for advertising cus i think its so awesome. For only 8 bux a month i get unlimited streaming and get to rent one dvd at a time. I think thats so worth it. If you watch one movie a week thats 2 bux a movie and in between the downtime you can just stream dvds through your xbox or pc. I love my xbox and netflix combo so awesome on those days where you just don't want to go out to get a movie. You have thousands of movies ready for viewing.

Im thinking of getting a puppy in april. I wonder what i should get...

V-Day

So i had my FIRST v-day ever with a special someone. It was pretty good i guess. I guess the important thing is you spent it with that person.

I made this fish dinner and it was to my surprise actually really good. I didn't know i could make something. Then we made chocolate covered strawberries and chexmix with coconut shavings.

We then went to go watch Coraline 3D.

O yea i got her some roses too which turned out to be excellent. So big and in full bloom.

Been spending a lot of time together i guess. Went to a lot of beach spots like Coronado Island (took a ferry), blacks beach (a big cliff that oversees the ocean), Solana Beach (quiet local area), Pacific Beach (tourist spot with lots of shopping and stuff).

I got netflix when i came to SD so we've been watching a lot of movies as well.

Other than hanging out with Diana just been going to church and playing basketball and working. Life here is starting to settle down and just getting in a routine i guess.

Gonna go snowboarding in a little bit i think. Maybe i'll make a trip to San Fran and Disney World (LA).

I'll try to post more i know i've been getting lazy and i bet nobody reads this anymore. Sorry guys who are loyal for some reason to my life's boring stories.

Retreat

So i went to my first retreat in CA and it was kind of interesting cus it wasn't really a retreat but more like a one day fellowship building day or something im lost for words as im trying to explain what it was.

It was a lot better then i expected in a sense of spiritually as well as personally. I got to meet a TON of people even if it was just a hi with their name and grade or whatever. We did this activity that took about 4.5 hours to finish that let us meet every single person in the retreat. I thought my brain was going to explode with the sheer amount of names i was trying to memorize. I called this guy that i meet before anthony even though his name was nick. He was kind of disappointed in me but hopefully he'll get over it.

I got really famous right off the bat, the first night, because we played do you love your neighbor for the ice breaker and you were supposed to go up to a person u didn't know and so this girl asked me and then right after the next girl wasn't even thinking and asked me again and i thought she was being funny and everybody was like wtf who does that in "do you love your neighbor" ask the same person twice in a row. So my friend that i knew before kept saying hey ask danny ask danny.

Funny thing later when we were doing our 4.5 hr activity 50% out of the 90% of the people i didn't know said "hi danny, i know your name since the first night cus of the game but you prob don't know mine. I am blank blank."

Anyways meet a lot of people and made some new friends. It was a good thing i went.

Hero's

Just finished Hero's season 1 which was extremely long and took me 3 to 4 days to finish 23, 45 min episodes but all in all at the end it left me just saying eh it was ok. I guess it would be much more fun if i saw it during its prime as it was coming out and with other people so you can talk about it cus i could see how some of the twists and events could cause people to thirst for more. All i did was just hit next next next and burned through them all.

I love my xbox. Im so glad i got it over ps3

One of the saddest things that i go through particularly this week is looking at facebook pictures. I go through them cus im curious as to what is happening on the other side of the country with my entire life that i left behind. The holidays are coming near and only 3 more days until i finally get back home for a shirt 6.5 days and the pictures make me sad.

I see everybody together people who have graduated and people that have yet to still seeing each other and mingling together. Its good to see alums going back to visit and just people hanging out together still.

Its been 6 months now since i left and i truly have missed out a lot on memory making. I think back and for half of 2008 i will have nothing to share with my friends and i will be missing in a big page of my friends lives.

I think i missed like 6 or 7 bdays too many to count even my own families. Going back to visit for a week is merely a tease and it will prob make me want to move back to the east coast even sooner then expected.

I did the whole cali thing for a 6 months and its just not where i feel comfortable or maybe its a SD thing. I kind of want to try SF if i get the chance cus i hear thats where the technology world is hopping and i'll learn a lot.

I miss home but i guess i can't say i regret moving out here. Its shaped me in a new way whether good or bad it can't be taken back.

Today was officially the most boring day i've had in San Diego.

I woke up and don't really remember what i did after that and now its 840pm and i finished watching a movie and ate ja jyang meun in my room.

I think i spent 5 hours at least in my bed minus the 8 hours of sleep so like 13 hours plus another 8 hours of tonights sleep.

Cyber Friday

I basically did all of my shopping for christmas and a little for myself online this year. I wait 0 secs waiting in line at the stores and i got some great deals on a lot of stuff. I think im going to do what i did every year it was so easy and just relaxing at home.

Why is it so hard to make money but so easy to spend it.

Im so bored. This is going to be the worst weekend cus everybody went to the bay or oc and isn't coming back until sunday. This is when i wish i had a ps3

New Bed Life Contiues

So one of our roomies moved out and we had a memorial service for him. Put up a little shrine and burned some candles and sang some songs and what not it was kind of weird.

wtf am i talking about.... anyways

So one of our roomies moved out and I took his queen size bed and frame and put it in my room and now my room is awesome. I got a nice big bed and get to use my blanket to its fullest.

I just wrote a crude joke but then i deleted it cus my blog is linked to my facebook and there are kids that might get here somehow so i gota keep my blog pg now (i just realized).... should i just block their IDs on my facebook?

So new bed and yest i had a meeting with the boss's bossman and he wanted to know how i was doing and blah blah small talk and then he goes "so are you willing to see this project through to the end?"

REWIND

My project was supposed to end DC 18th and my contract with this company ends Feb 1 but now the project got pushed back to an estimated length til mid March

"how do you like the people here? Are you doing all the code by yourself or are people helping you along?"

After answer some more volleys of questions he tells me "i like you Danny and we always have more work to do."

I think hes going to extend my contract but lets not get our hopes up or mine.

Dunk Contest

So i entered a dunk contest thats going to be in jan around new years. Im going through intensive training right now with a combination or light lifting and heavy jump roping to get more inches on my vertical so that i can actually dunk a basketball.

Right now i can grab the rim pretty easy but with only one arm and i have to get a running start. My goal is i guess to be able to grab rim with both and dunk while running with one by the end. its going to be tough but i think i can do it.

I did my first training session today in my backyard and omg am i out of shape. My first run with the jump rope i sear i hit my shins like over 30 times and i wanted to do just 50 jumps. I think my brain didn't remember the coordination needed to do an actual jump rope and it was actually kind of hard to do in grass cus the rope kept getting slowed down when it hit the ground.

I finally got the hang of it so now im doing just 50 jumps and the toe raises and then stretching in between. Plus my regular workout at the gym doing some light squats and playing ball every monday i think if i keep it up i will be able to do it by jan.

Ok its not what you think when i say dunk contest its just a bet between me and my friend i just wanted to give the story a bit of a hype so that you will be interested til the end some what. I mean who really cares about me doing jump ropes.

I just bought the third season of the office. Now i have the 2nd and 3rd seasons. Its great and it gets so much funnier as the seasons go on. Season 2 is lame compared to season 3 but it builds and gets funnier as it goes. I love it!

Fast food blows

I've been eating out A LOT these past few months cus i don't cook at all and recently i went to burger king to get a whopper jr cus i was in a time crunch and omg biggest mistake of my life i rather go hungry and save my 2 bux.

Freak'n i didn't realize how dry and nasty the burgers were until today. Its like if you have fast food all the time you don't realize it but since i haven't had it and i've been eating only good burgers when i went back to it omg i thought i was going to spit it out. I put so much ketchup on that thing it was like eating ketchup with a burger topping.

Im scared to eat a big mac... will it be the same...

Time to ice my eyeballs.

Awkward Comment

The grandpa at my house i swear would give up both legs to have been born asian. Today he gave me the most awkward comment ever.

I came back from the gym and before i left a friend came over to go to the gym with me cus its close to my house.

So when i got back hes like "welcome home. BTW you have the most beautiful girl friends. Iono if its just the way they dress or do their hair but you have beautiful girlfriends."

This old man is crazy. I didn't know how to respond to that. I was speechless and felt so tiny and this is what came out of my mouth.

"...... Thanks" and turned around and walked straight into my room to gather my thoughts and then i realized i had no thoughts to gather i was just taken off guard.

He thinks we are best friends or something. Getting a little too comfortable.

Insurance Scam

So i got my vision and dental insurance activated today and so i went to the optometrist and to spend 0 dollars cus i just wanted to ask some questions and set up an appointment.

End of the evening i end up spending over 200 bux.... how you ask? well i'll tell you even if you didn't ask

So i get into the office and start asking what my coverage covers and how much copay i have to do and blah blah all this new insurance lingo and im like ok sounds good exam and new contacts will cost be like 50 bux perfect.

I get in there and after like 25 mins of doing my exam he gets the right perscription and boom my contacts are ready for me to try on. I put them on and then i try to read the screen and something is wrong....

Its like really blurry for some reason and i told him i can't read the line.... when i blink sometimes it gets better but then it gets bad again.

"strange" and he ponders.

So he tells me to rest my chin on this thing and starts looking at my eye again and then is like ok i need to put this crap in your eye to make it easier to see so he puts yellow and green dye into my eye and made my eyes go numb so weird.

He tells me hes going to take some pictures of my eye and inside of my eyelids to show me something.

So i have this condition and iono what its called cus its a confusing name. Its at the minor stages so its not harmful but it could get much worse if i don't treat it now. My eyelids have these bumps from irritation or allergy (most likely irritation) and it keeps pushing my contacts down so that it doesn't cover my pupil evenly hence the blurriness no matter how strong the prescription cus its just not covering my eyes properly.

So now im getting worried ok its good that my eyes are just in the beginning stages so how do i fix it the quickest and safest... and he said don't wear your contacts and use your glasses if you can and put ice on your eyes 3 times a day for a few weeks.

So this is when it gets bad I just paid an extra 40 bux to do extra stuff on my eyes to get examined for contacts then i learned i should get glasses and the ones i have now are so old and outdated that i can't use them for everyday use so i gota get new lenses and frames then the lenses have to have like coating and blah blah to proetect from computer screens uv rays glare anti scratch blah blah and i just see the numbers going up and up and up.

So in the end i paid over 200 bux for new glasses and ONE box of contacts since i paid extra for the contact examination might as well get some new contacts as well.

Cons:

I now have to wear glasses and its going to get some getting used to.... boy are you guys in for a surprise when i get back

I spent over 200 bux when i was supposed to spend 50

I gota ice my eyes now throughout the day which is pretty annoying

Pros:

saved my eyes from getting further damaged and potentially having to go through complicated medical procedures

Im thankful that this doctor found out what was going on cus that would have sucked if i went blind or something or had to go to the hospital but the price i paid is now i gota pull off wearing glasses and look like a dork.

New Years

I guess everybody is telling me not to get a bike and it makes me want to get it just that much more. I think i am going to end up getting it next year jan or feb if i stay in SD. Thats my plan and i just don't see myself being convinced not to get one. My mom would have the most power over me not getting it and im thinking about just getting it and telling her like it or not its better you know i have it then me sneaking around with it.

My New years resolution is to stop using a car and save money and gas at the expensive of my life and get a bike lol.

Its SD... i have to get it if i want to be cool which is so important in CA.
